"We just completed our stay at Arroyo Del Sol and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I want to thank our hosts, they were more than hospitable. We were traveling with friends so we were able
to enjoy the small house and the upstairs accommodations, both spaces were well attended and very comfortable. The location was perfect since we attended the Tournament of Roses Parade and the Rose
Bowl 2018 (Go Dawgs). Being so close to Pasadena made our time even more enjoyable. The only pitfall was not being able to use the pool because the weather was a but chilly but it is winter. The spa
was wonderful.
I would definitely return in fact I need to stay again to see their precious new puppy grow up into a beautiful smart dog." – Lisa from California

"My husband and I just spent two wonderful nights enjoying this fabulous clothing-optional bed and breakfast, Arroyo del Sol. Located near Pasadena, it is hard to believe that such a wonderful place
is so close to downtown Los Angeles. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel special. Their new pool was so refreshing. If you are planning to spend any time in Southern California, you may
wish to give them a call." – Donna from Washington

"We had an amazing time at Arroyo del Sol! The hosts were just great. Made us feel like part of the family. It was my girlfriend’s first time and they made her feel at ease. So much so she is ready
to try other nudist adventures. Thanks for the smooth process and your network. We hope to try other B&B’s in your Clothing Optional Home Network as we do some travels." – Ryan from

“Fantastic retreat near L.A.”
I was in town for a long
weekend for a wedding in Malibu and decided to stay at Arroyo del Sol because the nightly rate was less than the recommended hotels of the wedding party, and also, of course, because it's clothing
optional. It was a wonderful experience. The hosts were very gracious and accommodating, incredibly flexible about the hour of breakfast, and not at all phased by my erratic and sometimes late night
comings and goings due to various wedding-related functions. The BnB suite is upstairs, separate enough from the rest of the house if one desires privacy, and close enough should one feel like
spending time with the hosts, which I would also recommend, as they are both very warm, genuine, and personable. Another guest and I were welcomed to watch some of the Sunday NFL games with the
hosts, which we did, and had a great time. The food was fantastic as well. I only wish I had been able to avail myself of the hot tub; I guess I'll just have to go back! Thanks very much to the hosts
for their hospitality, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Michael D. Leesburg, Virginia stayed October 2014
“Heaven on Earth!”
This great Frank Lloyd Wright Jr designed lodging is perched on the edge of a valley, with views of the golden California sunset ahead, and the San Gabriel National Forest to the right. Viewed
either from the huge hot-tub or from the veranda patio on the top penthouse, where the two rooms are (along with the fridge stocked with beer, wine & soft drinks and the sitting room with flat
screen TV with 300+ channels and exotic wood desk with free high speed wifi.)
The ample sunning lawn and front patio offer lots of space to grab that full, no-line tan.
However, the very best part of this luxury B&B are the owners!! If you check out Webster's Dictionary for "Perfect Hosts" you will find their picture there....
They have thought of everything possible to assure your clothing optional stay is as fun and flawless as you can imagine: From the spectacular gourmet breakfast to the world-class coffee maker that
the guests can use and more:
He is the president of the Southern California Naturist group, so on my stay, I was able to participate in nude yoga one day, and nude bowling the other! Simply unbelievable....
Add to that, the beginning of the park trail being 60 feet from their front door, and easy proximity to the freeways, this little slice of heaven is simply too fantastic to summarize in this review.
You simply have to visit to believe a place like this really exists for those who embrace the clothing optional lifestyle. Plus, you will always remember the warmth and sincere hospitality of your
hosts, Rolf and Cynthia.
(Final note: There are NO dogs or cats here, so no need to worry about any allergies, pet hair or barking at all...also, if you are a bird lover, you will simply go NUTS! Way too many species to
describe!) Bill from Seattle. Stayed October 2014, traveled solo

I don't normally choose B&Bs - I'm often shy with strangers - but I'm very glad that my desire for a clothing optional
weekend (storing up sun for the winter!) brought me to Arroyo del Sol. The house is historic, the property is well tended for its age and the hosts are remarkably hospitable. They went out of their
way to make me feel at home, including cheerfully working around some food allergies which most would find an annoying nuisance.
My room was very comfortable and I was charmed by the original tile of the vanity. Also appreciated were the coffee service, bottled water and wine and the lovely fruit basket.
I had a very relaxing weekend alternating between the hot tub, sunning myself and walking the extensive trail system that runs up into the hills.
I'm far from converted to B&Bs as an alternative to pleasantly anonymous hotels, but I'm certainly a fan of Arroyo del Sol and hope to stay again if my travels bring me anywhere in Southern
California.

“Wonderful Clothing Optional Experience”
Reviewed 4 days agoNEW
My wife and I just spent two nights at this lovely and unusual home in the Pasadena area. We were
going to a play in downtown Los Angeles (a half hour away) and this was an excellent alternative to a hotel. The hosts are very gracious and available for any help you may need, but also respectful
of your privacy. The living space upstairs was comfortable and offered beautiful views of the adjacent arroyo. The grounds were perfect for sunbathing (with lots of shade available) and the spa was
first-rate. A highlight was the delicious and beautifully prepared breakfasts. We are veteran naturist travelers, and this was one of our best experiences. If you are looking for an
out-of-the-ordinary place to stay in the Pasadena-Los Angeles area, we highly recommend Arroyo del Sol.

My wife and I spent a great night here last week. The accommodations are
comfortable and fairly represented in the photographs and previous reviews. We are not hard core naturists but are willing to try new things. The hosts are a polite and genial couple who are
extremely accommodating in all respects. They are fine cooks and prepared a delightful Sonoran egg bake for our breakfast. The property is very close to an access point for trails in the Arroyo Seco
so we were able to take a nice hike in the morning. As to the naturist angle, they are completely fine with whatever one feels comfortable with in that regard. As they emphasized to us, "It's
clothing optional!" As for us, we did some limited sunning in the late afternoon. I would highly recommend this property for someone looking for something a little different than the basic corporate
hotel options in the Pasadena area.

Nestled in the Pasadena foothills, at the top of a cactus-covered slope not
far from beautiful Arroyo Seco Canyon, hides this little piece of paradise. As soon as your beaming host greets you at the gate leading into a green spacious oasis that doubles as a front yard, you
instantly feel at ease. The sleeping quarters, air conditioned and very clean, are just a small part of the ambiance at this clothing-optional bed and breakfast, where guests are invited to roam
freely and the short list of rules simply reflects common sense. Whether it’s sunbathing naturally on the patio, watching television or DVDs in the upstairs common area or cooling off in the outdoor
shower next to the delux hot tub out back, your comfort and enjoyment clearly emerge as the top priority. While you can count on one heck of an omelet served with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, toast
and jam (they also honor special dietary requests) at whatever time you designate each morning, a small refrigerator in the oversized washroom is fully stocked at all other times of the day. A nice,
big bowl of fruit sets on the table in the TV room as well. If you want to engage in conversation with your hosts, they’re happy to oblige. If you prefer to be left alone, that’s fine too. Highly
recommended as something just a bit different for anyone thinking of an inland getaway from the textile crowd.

We felt like honored guest with our Hosts, right from the start he showed us
around their beautiful home with pride, she has owned the Frank Lloyd Wright home for 30 years, her children were raised there.
The home is not only comfortable and inviting, but you are shown up to your own private floor where the amenities are plentiful , coffee, tea a beautiful fresh fruit plate, and goodies in the fridge
to enjoy including Wine!
We came this weekend to see the Do-Dah parade, a spoof of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, which took us very little time to get there. The first evening we asked where a local restaurant was that they
enjoyed. Had Pot roast, Yummy! good ol' fashioned food
Got up early (9:00 am) early for me! to our choice of a Sweet Breakfast, I requested and it was amazing, I had two helpings! Stuffed pancake with fresh berries inside, ( I requested the recipe) Rolf
is the cook and gladly handed it over :)
So off to the Do-Dah with a request from them if we wanted dinner that night with them let us know! How wonderful,We ended up in the afternoon at an amazing Hot dog place in Pasadena so didn't think
we'd be hungry, so opted out of dinner and thanked our Hosts.
Well low and behold We were getting hungry later and called and asked if we were to late to say yes to dinner, and they replied "Sure" and we got home to a dinner table set outside in front of the
amazing property to a stuffed Chicken ,salad and homegrown Artichokes from their garden, what a treat. We talked and talked and enjoyed ourselves over a bottle of wine we brought, oops! then we're
having so much fun we opened the one they had placed in our fridge. Breakfast next morn' was stuffed French Toast and bacon, another favorite!
We feel we have made great friends and will be back, have also invited them to stay with us in our home, Arizona,

We were planning on booking the same resort getaway we enjoyed so much in the
past, but after stumbling upon this precious gem, we are completely torn! Our hosts were wonderful, the food was delicious (they went out of their way to prepare special meals for us!), the
environment was friendly, and all in all it was a great experience. Perfect for a quiet, intimate getaway with the one you love. We can't wait to come back!

When I decided to book two nights at Arroyo del Sol I thought it would be
just a B&B, but the owners make it a very special place.
The place is silent, nice and cozy. My bedroom was VERY CLEAN, comfortable with all ammenities I needed. Air conditioning, fan, high speed internet, lots of pillows etc. The area where the guests
rooms are have a huge LCD TV screen and awfully comfortable sofas. The walls are all of windows that overlook to the NASA Propulsion Laboratory. The bathroom is very roomy and filled with all
ammenities you might think you would need.
The breakfast is cooked every morning to state of the art. Also, if you have the chance, I would highly recommend to have dinner or lunch with the owners. When I was there they cooked a delicious
meal and served white wine to go with it. Awesome. Not to mention that we ate the dinner outside under the moonlight with candles shinning through the crystal wine glasses.
The place is silent, just the way I like. In the morning you will hear birds and it feels like if you are in a farm, but you are just some miles away from Los Angeles. Terrific!!!

"Not really a resort but a residential bed and breakfast, Arroyo del Sol is a beautiful little getaway nestled in the Pasadena foothills. The host and hostess are as friendly and welcoming as you
ever could ask for, and made my wife and I felt totally at ease from the moment we set foot into their home. The cozy, air-conditioned sleeping quarters are just a sample of the ambiance here."

"We had a wonderful time here in this 'hidden paradise'! Our time here was relaxing, enjoyable, and rejuvenating! It was golden on all the things that make for a memorable get-a-way. Charming,
clean, quiet, quaint, delicious, and friendly! As hosts you are welcoming, open and willing to please in ways that create a feeling like we are staying at an old friends home. Thank you for having us
in your home and sharing your friendship! We rested, ate wonderful meals, played games, and shared laughter and stories! You are both wonderful and have created an amazing bit of Heaven!"

"Wonderful stay, felt like we were leaving old friends when we left today! The owners were amazing hosts. We actually picked the BandB because we are flight attendants from Phoenix, Arizona and
always stay in hotels. We travel on lots of vacations and try and look for unique places to stay. After reading that this was a Frank LLoyd Wright home that was exciting to us to stay in a bit of
history. The owners told us the whole story of the home, she had raised her children there and had lived in it for 30 years. We had a very comfy room and were able to open windows and have a great
view plus cool air! We were there not only to relax but to go to the famous yearly "DO-DAH" parade in Pasadena, and were happy to find out it was only a short distance away. When we arrived, we were
shown to our own floor with great comfy beds, wine, beautiful fruit basket, coffees and teas and little snacks "just in case." The first night they recomended a locals restaurant that had amazing pot
roast, mashed potatoes and soup. During the day we ate at the best hot dog place in Pasadena, hit the spot! Woke up to the most scrumptious breakfast made by The owner. A baked pancake with filling
of delicious fresh fruit and bacon. I love a sweet breakfast and ordered that! We ended up having dinner that night with our host they prepared a lovely salad and fresh artichokes from their garden
and stuffed Chicken that was divine, we shared a bottle of wine which we brought along, then shared one more of theirs. We ate in the garden and talked and talked for hours. Thank you folks for your
warm hospitality, hope to stay friends and have you visit Arizona."

"I can only echo all of the fantastic reviews of this place. You cannot go wrong. From the time you enter the door to the time you leave, you are treated as friends. Everything is at your pace
with no expectations but wonderful and exceptional hosting. The pool area with spa ... I stayed by the pool and enjoyed the experience for the three days I had booked. I hope that I can return with
my wife and enjoy this experience with her. I am sure the host and hostess will make her stay as fantastic as mine was. Cannot wait to return to their wonderful resort." - David from

Thanks for everything during our stay. The surroundings were very quiet and calm. Bed ,sofa , jacuzzi and everything was comfortable.
So at your home we could relax ourselves. We felt happy hearing the birds singing all day and while we were soaking in the jacuzzi.
The breakfast you made and served were good and tasty for us.
Specialy we often remenber the talk with youabout old music and movies of America. As sonn as we came home, we bought the CD you recomended by Amazon and we enjoy listening to it.
Anyway we don't know how to thank you enough with our poor English.
We appreciate your kindness and consideration. We would like to visit you again one of these years. Fujio and Setsuko - Japan
My partner and I spent 3 days and 2 nights at this magnificent B & B...Arroyo del Sol. Our hosts were fantastic people and the food is so delicious. We had beautiful mountain views and loved
the cozy location of the jacuzzi and spent two afternoons soaking. The jets really relax your body and the ambiance of the place is second to none. The house is historical and our hosts told us the
story and showed us around. We had the burgundy colored room and both rooms have a great view. There is a living room adjacent to the rooms with wonderful funishings and a nice large TV for viewing.
We watched DVDs one night. This place is convenient to the Angeles Forest, which we both enjoyed as well as dining and exploring Old Town Pasadena. If you are in the mood for Dim Sum you can get to
the Empress in Chinatown in just a few minutes. We went there too. Our experience with Arroyo Del Sol was wonderful and we are sure to come back soon.
Pros
Beautiful place, beautiful furnishings, comfortable, large fresh fruit basket for our enjoyment, views of the foothills from both rooms, large livingroom and TV adjacent to the rooms, large jacuzzi
with a cozy ambiance, fantastic breakfasts
Cons
None. We were happy and cozy and well taken care of at this wonderful place.

"Our hosts at Arroyo del Sol made sure that we were comfortable and well taken for. They planned meals ahead to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Upon pulling into the driveway my
partner and I exchanged sideways glances, unsure about what lie ahead. But we shook the thoughts from our head, and proceeded to explore what was in store for us, rather than judging a book by its
cover. While the exterior from street view might seem a bit unruly, once you are past the nifty coded magnetic gate, our host guided us through the landscape toward the main house. Large grass fields
sprawl across the yard with concrete sidewalks as the only divide. Up a couple steps onto a patio with a grill, patio furniture, hammock and through the door (also coded for entry). The house is a
remarkable time capsule of historical architecture. Certainly far from the ordinary, it's quite fascinating to look at. Although we were welcome to roam throughout the entire house, the upstairs were
primarily reserved for guests. With A/C in every room, we were never too warm. There are two bedrooms both clean and well made, with comfortable beds and comforters. We had utility of a large
bathroom with a couple sinks, shower, toilet, vanity mirror, coffee machine and fridge. The middle room had a flat screen tv and a couple couches with fresh fruit for the picking. Step out onto the
roof-made patio and we had ourselves a stunning second-to-none view of the valley overlooking the rocket propulsion labs, perfect for an early morning coffee with my love, swinging gently on the
loveseat bench. Downstairs, we had use of an awesome jacuzzi and our host made it even more special with candles and firepits. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, and once we
were able to step through the rough exterior, we had a truly intimate and memorable experience. One that I hope many other couples can take advantage of. Only 10 minutes from the mall, and a handful
fewer to the trails, there is too much to do to get bored. And even when you don't want to do anything, we found such solace and solitude on the patio feeling the autumn breeze through fading summer
heat and that was more than we could have asked for. Arroyo del Sol may not have a pool or exercise facility, but it is a glorious retreat from the ordinary work-filled lives we endure, and I feel
recharged and completely satisfied with our experience. Thank you so much! We cannot wait to visit again." - Jessica from California 9-12
The Hosts at Arroyo del Sol exceeded my expectation. The warm welcome came right after you confirmed the reservations and sent me the directions. I was driving when my phone
rang. It was my host to introduce himself and ask if would there be any need of assistance to get there. Very nice of him. Also, the way he spoke to me was friendly and
welcoming.
I arrived at Arroyo del Sol easily. He welcomed outside the B&B and gave me explanations on how to enter and to leave the place anytime I needed and everything
else.
He escorted me to the guests sleeping area and let me decide in what room I'd prefer to sleep. I liked it a lot. I chose (of course) the largest
room. Both bedrooms were cozy and nicely decorated. My bedroom was comfortable, VERY CLEAN, silent (just the way I like) and had everything I need.
The bathroom is huge and comfortable and with all ammenities you may wish. I could notice the perfection and love put in each and every detail. There is also a
private room with comfy sofas, a table and a huge LCD screen TV.
High speed internet, air conditioning, fine linen and decoration mean nothing if compared to the hospitality of the Hosts.
What about the food? Breakfasts were served by the time I said I wanted to have it and always with the very best. This morning they served a memorable pie with
strawberries and blue berries. Gosh, it was one of the best I have ever tried. In the first night, they invited me over to dinner. They cooked a delicious shrimp with couscous dish
that and served it to be enjoyed with white wine. EXCELLENT!!!
I highly recommend Arroyo del Sol. I just want you to know that I am a very well travelled person with certain high standard and I was VERY WELL impressed and happy
for staying there.
You don't need to ask me to write reviews about it. I would do it weather you asked or not and it would be honest anyway. The same way I am reporting my
experience to you I would do if it would not have been satisfactory.

"We had a very relaxing nude long weekend at Arroyo del Sol B&B. Super hosts and lovely guest suites! The entire upstairs area is for guests and overlooks Arroyo Seco...fabulous sunsets
from the guest living area. There is a great spa that overlooks the Arroyo and lush gardens for sunning. Breakfast was served outside on the deck and our hosts prepared a different full breakfast
every morning...yummy. We thought we would miss having a pool, but the grounds were so lovely that our nude sunbathing was fabulous! We've enjoyed staying at other clothing optional B&Bs, we'll
add Arroyo del Sol to our return list, especially since it's so close!! We're thrilled to have a private clothing optional B&B so close!"
